Sunday School
Confirmands meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 am in the new fellowship hall downstairs (underneath the sanctuary) and for scheduled activities throughout the year.
Confirmation Cirriculum
A two year curriculum for seventh and eighth grade students teaches the Ten Commandments in the tradition of Martin Luther's Small Catechism. We have some lively discussions as we dig into the meaning of the Lord's Prayer and the Apostle's Creed. Understanding is gained during Sunday School, on weekend retreat experiences, through Acolyte service, and service activities, as you are encouraged to explore your faith.
After instruction is completed with the pastor, affirmation of the baptismal vows occur in the spring of eighth grade. Confirmands are then full participants in the membership of the church. We are currently looking at finding an alternate time for some students who have conflicts with sports. Contact Pastor Jim for a mutually agreeable time.
